It may happen that during this period, you need to hire an employee or that a worker gets injured, requiring the opening of a workplace injury claim.
Below are the procedures to handle such cases urgently.
URGENT NEW HIRE COMMUNICATION – UNI.URG
If you urgently need to hire someone during the firm’s closure, you must complete the UniUrg form on the website https://couniurg.lavoro.gov.it by logging in with your SPID credentials.
The form is very easy to complete and consists of 4 sections, which should be filled out with the following essential information:
- Employer: Enter the employer’s tax code (if a sole proprietorship, enter the owner’s tax code; if a company, enter the VAT number) and the exact company name.
- Employee: Enter the employee’s tax code (which can be found on the health card or electronic ID card), and the full last name and first name.
- Start of Employment: Indicate the start date of employment, which must generally be the day after submission or, in exceptional urgent cases, the same day.
- Submission Details: For the reason of urgency, write: “closure of the delegated consulting firm for holidays” and include the email address of the sender.
This same form must also be sent to our office to allow us, upon reopening, to proceed with the regular submission of the UNILAV form.
WORKPLACE INJURY – URGENT PROCEDURE
What if, during the firm’s closure, medical certificates indicating a work-related injury with a prognosis of more than 3 days are received by the company?
In this case, the incident must be urgently reported to the certified email (PEC) address of the competent INAIL office (to find the appropriate office, click here and enter the postal code of the injured worker’s residence).
The injury report form, along with the relevant instructions, must be submitted within 2 days from receipt of the first medical certificate (within 24 hours in the event of a fatal accident).
